Reb-7511 • Easter Brothers • They're Holding Up The Ladder |
The popular Mt. Airy, North Carolina group known as the Easter Brothers has been delighting fans of traditional-styled gospel music since the late 1950s. They often straddled the fence between bluegrass and country and recorded in both styles. In the early and middle 1980s, the group recorded several albums of fine bluegrass gospel for the Rebel label. Twenty years later, the folks at Rebel have taken the best tracks from these albums and assembled them in this collection. If nostalgic, heartfelt singing, a prime choice of uplifting gospel and sacred songs, and spirited instrumental picking are ingredients for a winning recording, then They're Holding Up The Ladder is sure to take top honors. |
