For fifteen years, the Crowe Brothers formed the nucleus of the band that backed legendary North Carolina banjoist Raymond Fairchild. Although the brothers no long tour, guitarist Josh Crowe maintains an active profile by continuing to perform with Raymond Fairchild. In addition to appearances before literally thousands of music fans every weekend at festivals throughout the southeast, Josh and Raymond perform nightly throughout the week at popular tourist locations in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. This recording is comprised of older recordings that the Crowe Brothers made in the early 1980s and is bolstered with the inclusion of five newly recorded selections that were prepared especially for this new package. |
