Kimmel Rosenstein & Co. is centered around the talents of West Virginia native Dick Kimmel on mandolin and tenor vocals and Leo Rosenstein on guitar and lead vocals. Kimmel maintains a high profile in bluegrass as a contributor to Bluegrass Unlimited magazine and also chairs the international committee of the International Bluegrass Music Association. All of the band members of KRC contributed original material to Ramblin’ Away. In fact, various band members wrote nine of the fourteen tracks on the project.

Kimmel Rosenstein & Co. has found a recent convert in banjo wizard and former Nitty Gritty Dirt Band member John McEuen. He noted recently that “in my three million miles plus I’ve traveled playing music, I’ve always looked forward to one exciting aspect of performing: coming across talented people dedicated to music and performing.
